Color Laser Printers
Color laser printers used to be so expensive that most people couldn't even dream of affording them. Now days, color laser printers prices have gone down considerably and there are some great color laser printers for less than $1 000, making them a legitimate printer choice even for buyers on a budget. The advantages are numerous and if you're in need of a fast and high quality color printer that can handle a lot pages a color laser printer is what you should opt for.
There are so many things going for color laser printers that I can't help but recommend them to anyone who aren't sure how they're going to be using their printer. The only drawback is their price and if you're looking to save money this isn't the most affordable solution obviously although it's often said that you get what you pay for and that's something that applies here as well. Lets look at what advantages color laser printers have.
Printing costs - ongoing printing costs are measured in cost per page - a figure measured in cents. If you print even a fair amount, the per page costs can add up quickly. Laser printers offer the lowest cost per page - usually only a couple of cents per page. This applies to color laser printers as well.
Printing speed - laser printers are the fastest printers, with ratings from 6 to 15 pages per minute. It's important to note that color laser printers also are a lot faster than inkjet printers. Most inkjet printers have a rated speed of 3 to 4 pages per minute.
Color printing - printing color documents is a feature a lot of people have desired in laser printers for a long while. With the obvious advantage of printing in color you also get the low cost per page that's been associated with laser printers for so long. It's a win-win situation.
While color laser printers seem to be having everything from the perspective of a printer reviewer like me, the question is if you really need to print color documents or if you really need to print that much overall. Even though in the long run you'll save money because you're using a laser printer it might not be that important if you only print on occasional basis.
